This year, in honor and celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (Sep 15th – Oct 15, 2020), we held a photo contest to challenge our photographers to submit photos of diversely hued people from Spain and Latin America who captured the rich LatinX heritage that is heard, seen, and tasted around the world.

 

From the submissions we selected Lamar Carter's collection, highlighting the beauty and strength of latinas who proudly represent their Puerto Rican heritage and American ties. 

 

 

Lamar Carter (@SHOTBYSBD) is a New Jersey-based photographer who's well known for capturing melanated models, athletes, and everyday people. Lamar is a reporter and longtime supporter of the WNBA. He shoots with his trusty Nikon.

It’s no secret that at pocstock, we're always actively searching for new dope photographers, stunning shots to add to our collection, and partnering with organizations and initiatives that help enhance the image of people of color. 

 

Our photo contest allows us to do all those things and more. We're still ramping up, with more types and more frequent photo contests.
